Steel shot ABRABLAST
ABRABLAST® steel spherical shot is made of the highest quality materials and semi-finished products. Produced using high-quality machines that guarantee the repeatability of the entire production process, which translates into the repeatability of our shot. Together with our partners, we tried to perform and develop the best method of producing steel spherical shots that suit our customers in Poland and Europe. While guaranteeing repeatability, quality and low price.
Specification
High-carbon broken cast steel shot, in accordance with ISO 11125-1, is produced by crushing high-quality round cast steel shot. The angular grain shape provides aggressive cutting performance and effective surface preparation.
Hardness Grades (ISO 11125-3)
We offer three standard hardness grades:
-
GP: 450 – 550 HV ± 40 HV (45 – 52 ± 2 HRC)
-
GL: 600 – 700 HV ± 45 HV (54 – 59 ± 2 HRC)
-
GH: 800 – 950 HV ± 60 HV (64 – 68 ± 3 HRC)
Each grade is designed to meet specific blasting intensity and surface treatment requirements.
Chemical Composition
Chemical composition corresponds to high-carbon round cast steel shot in accordance with ISO 11125-1.
Grain Size
Grain size distribution:
G 10 – G 325, in compliance with SAE J444 (AUG 84, revised May 1993).
Main Applications
Sharp-edged broken cast steel shot is primarily used for pneumatic abrasive blasting in blasting chambers and cabinets for the following purposes:
-
Cleaning surfaces from rust, contamination, and degraded coatings
-
Roughening surfaces to improve adhesion of protective coatings
-
Unifying the appearance of treated surfaces
-
Removing burrs and sprues
-
Removing carbon deposits from heat-treated GL castings
